Kids Korner - Giraffes

Kylee picked last weeks topic - Giraffes
Devon
I learned about graffs that thay have 2 to 3 feet hearts.
A grone-up graff is 19 feet tall.
A baby graff is 7 feet tall.
Thay can run 35 mph.
Thay live in africa.
Thay spred thare legs out to thar side then put thar neck all the way down to drink.
Thay cant swim.

Kylee is being shy today, so maybe she will write next week :)

Devons Story about our Trip Home

Devon decided on his own that he wanted to write a story. Each chapter is a new day on our trip. He would ask how to spell certain words and we helped him sound them out, but all the rest is his own creation. You may have to click on the letter to bring it in closer if you want to read it. I am going to add it to my scrapbook of our time in Arizona.

Kids Korner August 6

Devon: I like school. I loved school on my first day. I have 3 friends. Their names are Faith, Grazelle, and Alex. We did a science experiment. It was about liquids and solids. There are 2 things that are solid and liquid - icecube and chocolate. I have a computer at my desk. My computer still won't boot up though, but they will fix it. I got to use someone elses computer 2 times. I like the playground we have at school. My teachers name is Ms Woodworth. I like my teacher. Love Devon

Kylee: I really really miss Devon when he is at school. I wish I could go there. I play babies when he is at school. Sammy really misses Devon too. I get to go swimming with mommy by myself. Daddy and Mommy and Sammy all miss Devon. I really wish I could go to school with Devon. I get to go to school in one year! Love Kylee

Kids Korner - May 11

Devon: I can swim with my life jacket. And I done it in the deep pool!! I love Sammy. I see lots of cactuses down here. I hope we can go swimming today. Once we had 107 degrees!! Love Devon.

Kylee: My friend Emma played at the park with us. I went swimming in the deep pool. And I drownded!! (her head went under and she sucked some water in :) I have a duckie that I float inside, and my duckie swam.

Kids Korner - April 19

Devon: Like three days ago, I liked smushing the cars. And I like watching them pull the motors out. Yesterday on the walk, I was way ahead of mommy that I could wait inside the tunnel in the rock for everyone for a long time. I like writing worksheets for school. That is it :)

Kylee: I like playing with my friends. I like the waterfalls. I don't liIke the walking though. I like the animals at the zoo. I like the monkeys best. I like writing my letters. I like going swimming in the water. I like to play with Daddy and mommys cell phones. I like playing with Devon.

Kids Korner - March 21

Devon: We are in a new apartment. I can't wait to going swimming today. I can rollerblade now. We found a dead mouse in mommys rollerblades YUCK!!! I like to ride my bike too. I have a new friend Zach. He lives diagonal from me. He is 7 years old. We have a park here too.

Kylee: I ride my bike all the time. I have a new friend - Emma. She goes to fast on her bike for me. She is 5 years old. She is Zachs sister.

Kids Korner - March 18

Devon: Thank you Mrs Dubuque for all the new toys. My favorite one was the "rattle snake" I scared some people at a restaurant with it. They got freaked out and laughed. Its hot in Arizona, and we can go swimming and ride our bikes.

Kylee: Thank you Mrs. Dubuque for all the presents for our trip. My favorite ones were the candys! I like Arizona. Its hot outside and I like hot. I ride my bike at Arizona. I got a new water bottle with Dora on it.

Kids Korner - March 12

I thought it might be fun to add a section for the kids to tell their point of view. I will just type what they tell me, so you might get some interesting details :)

Devon: I am very excited to go to Arizona! I want to go there because its hot. We are going to play in the pool and ride my bike. I am going to miss my friends at school though. They all gave me hugs and high fives on my last day. The trip is long. In the truck, I talked to Kylee on the two-way radio lots!

Kylee: I really want to go to Arizona. Its hot there and I want to play there. Sammy is going to come with us to Arizona.
