Ok, so I had to laugh at this one!! We inherited a typewriter the day we helped my boss move some stuff out of an office to a storage unit. They came across a typewriter that no one has used for years, and they gave it to our kids. So Devon has had some fun playing with it. When I was cleaning up some stuff the other day, I came across this piece of paper than Devon had typed a message on.
You just never know what kids are thinking sometimes. But love it when it comes out in what they say, and now what they write :) Sorry Scott - but just had to share this!
Was a beautiful fall day, so decided to take the kids for a bike ride. Won't be long and we will have to store the bikes for the winter - hoping to get a few more rides in before then.
Then when we got home, Kylee decided all on her own to draw a picture about what we just did. Her drawings are getting more detailed!
Happy to be back to school - just look at those smiles!
My "baby" getting on the school bus!
With her friend Carmen
I met her at school after the bus dropped her off. The amount of supplies that they had to bring this year was more than the backpack would hold! So lucky me - I got to spend the first hour with her in her new class!
I have been promising the kids to do this for 3 years now, and it finally worked out. Thomas is only in Michigan for 2 weekends a year and last year we were in Arizona. I wondered if Devon would be too old to enjoy it, but he was glad we went and had just as much fun as Kylee. In Flint the track that Thomas comes to is the longest in the nation, so we got a 40 minute ride!
The curve was long enough that we could see Thomas pulling us! We were in the 2nd to last car.
We had many fun times at the beach this year. It is so handy to have it only 1/2 mile away from our house! Easy to run down there for a couple of hours on a hot day. The kids really enjoyed the windy days - they loved the waves. Here are a couple of pictures from one of those days.
You can almost hear Devons squeal in this picture :)
